Ok, since he is specifically hitting on the topic of measles as an excuse to make ALL vaccines mandatory, let’s go there. Definition: Measles is a respiratory infection caused by a virus, which exhibits a distinguishing skin rash known as exanthema. Measles is also sometimes referred to as rubeola (4-5 day measles), or severe measles. The measles infection is almost always diagnosed based on its characteristic symptoms, including koplik’s spots, and a rash which extends from the central body components out towards the face, arms, legs, and trunk of the body. It is usually accompanied with a fever, cough, runny nose, and red eyes.
